Congratulations to the 2024 Rochester-Paape Legends Team!

A group of RMSS players were formed into the Rochester-Paape Legends tournament team by manager Matt Halleck. This team went to Coon Rapids for the 2024 SSUSA's Northern Championships Tournament in the Men's 60+ AAA Division held on 5/3/2024 to 5/5/2024, with a berth in the Florida Tournament of Champions being rewarded to the winner in each division. This team of RMSS players played two games on Friday in the Round Robin segment of the tournament, and finished with a 1-1 record after losing their first game to a team from Arizona, and then beating a team from the Twin Cities area (one they would see two more times during the weekend).

 

On Saturday, in the double elimination segment of the tournament, the Legends beat another Twin Cities team before facing the previous Twin Cities from Friday and winning that game also to advance to the Championship game on Sunday.

 

On Sunday, the Legends squared off once again with the Twin Cities team from Friday, needing to win one game out of two to win the championship. The Legends did just that, posting a 22-21 victory in the first game, winning the 60+ AAA division Championship, and securing a berth in the Florida Tournament of Champions next January.
